Here’s the 20 Best SEO Blogs 2022 has to offer, it’s my pick. These blogs have helped me stay current and up-to-date with the latest in the fast-paced world of SEO and they are more relevant than ever.
SEO is a fast-changing discipline. I can spend hours checking out the RSS feeds, Tweets, and Blogs to get what relevant, what’s trending, what’s changing, and what’s not. Getting good quality information from the right sources certainly gives SEOs a competitive edge in the game professionally.
Favorite SEO Blogs with Metrics
While personally love each of these Blogs, and I wish they could all be #1 on the list, I just wanted to show my favorites and most helpful from 1 to 20. But I also wanted to show a number of SEO related metrics. So I have taken some data from Google and SEMrush so you can see the metrics.

1. SEMrush
In addition to offering one of the best SEO site audit tools available, SEMRush also provides an insightful blog. Their guest authors discuss various topics on digital marketing, SEO, Social Media, and PPC, including industry news and updates.
2. Moz
Moz is a household name among SEOs and theirs is inarguably among the best marketing blogs today. Recently they have published comprehensive step-by-step guides to website redesign, conversion optimization, and many more. Rand Fishkin, Moz’s co-founder and the “Wizard of Moz”, is a marketing guru who teaches a weekly “Whiteboard Friday” lesson on SEO, search engines, content creation, and many other topics.
3. Yoast
Yoast SEO lets you look into the different aspects and topics about SEO, Analytics, Conversion Rate Optimization, Social Media and WordPress. The bulk of their articles are written by Joost de Valk, CEO and founder of the company, who’s also an experienced WordPress developer.
4. Search Engine Land
Search Engine Land is no doubt one of the leading daily publications today. They touch all aspects of the search marketing industry, including trends, feature announcements, and product changes. The site is led by Editor-In-Chief Matt McGee, who oversees the editorial team behind Search Engine Land and its sister publication, Marketing Land.
5. Search Engine Watch
Search Engine Watch is another leading source on everything about web search and search engine industry analysis. Their articles, written by a range of marketing professionals, feature tips, industry news, issues, and commentary. They also cover updates from Google, Bing, Yahoo, other major search engines and events.
6. Search Engine Roundtable
Search Engine Roundtable has succeeded in reporting some of the most interesting threads taking place at the SEM forums. Search Engine Roundtable doesn’t only report on these threads but also provide more in-depth detail by having its finger on the pulse of what is going on in the SEO industry. Ian Lurie and the team at Portent have a terrific blog with a lot of info wich you can redily use to update your own knowledge. There is alway something else about digital marketing that makes really think. Its a nice blog.

Backlinko is an outstanding SEO Blog brought to you by Brian Dean. Brain is very widely known for the Skyscaper Technique whic many SEO use to get backlinks. Brain publishes epic articles with very detailed information including case studies and examples of how things work. I love the way he uses a lot of visual content. It’s really worth taking to time to read Brian’s blog if you want to get a leg-up in SEO.
15. Marie Haynes
Marie Haynes blog is a must for anyone wanting to get evidence based SEO learnings. Marie is well known for her work interpreting the Quality Raters Guidelines, and such topics as EAT and Google Penalties. Marie is a real-deal hands on SEO and is well respected in the industry for recovering hundreds of business from Google Penalties. As a former Vet who decided to help people with their websites, we can learn a lot from Marie’s experience.
16. Dejan Marketing
DEJAN Marketing blog offers data-driven ideas and insights into the fast-changing SEO landscape. Dan Petrovic, blog author and managing director of DEJAN, is a leading Australian SEO strategist, innovator and event speaker.
17. Ahrefs
Ahrefs blog publishes a lot of content on a range of SEO related topics. This is a really popular blog, and publishes articles pretty frequently, so you can get your readings worth that’s for sure. There’s a lot you can learn from these articles which are generally very well researched and written. Very good call to check out this blog.
18. Robbie Richards
Robbie Richards blog is hands down one of the best value blogs you will find in the industry. Robbie is a very experience and successful SEO and he tells all in his blog posts. From big round up posts through to in depth detail posts on how to do SEO, its well worth a read.

With articles getting published nearly every day of the week, the more you read, the more you learn. Definitely follow the CMI blog if you want more traffic from content marketing.

Dan Shure’s SEO blog on his website Evolving SEO is well worth subscribing too. It’s not just a blog, its a podcast too. Dan get you the best info from the best SEOs in the industry. Some of these podcasts need to be heard to be believed, they are so mind blowing. Dan is by far one of the best SEOs around, so do yourself a favor and check out his blog and podcast.
